Goodbye to Mom (12 images)

I am one of those weirdos that needs to visualize in order to comprehend. I was with my dear mother a week before she died of non-alcoholic liver disease probably caused by the years of medication she was taking after a triple by-pass in 2001 for heart disease. I drew "Mother Passing" in her bed the week of my visit. Mother on the couch was done from a photo sketch I took in Dec. I make most of my work from photo sketches that I take. The pictures of mom resting were done from memory after my mom's death on April 25. "My April 2011" is unusual for me since it is just photos.
